    Join Muscatine Branching Out for our 27th annual tree care workshop. Enjoy free coffee and a light breakfast while listening to a unique presentation on Artistry in Wood, followed by an Ask the Experts tree care and gardening panel. This event is free and open to the public. Artistry in Wood: John Bybee will present his living experiences on locally sourced wood and natural materials for his art related constructions. He will cover a variety of topics and how to locate, process and incorporate these woods and materials into works of art. John will also bring artwork to display.

  2. The Muscatine Symphony Orchestra Presents: MasterWorks III: “A Dynamic Duo”

    The “Dynamic Duo” of Mozart and Beethoven is on tap for this annual concert event. A Delicious Combination Dinner and Concert event will feature these two famous masters in a performance of two of their best-known works. Mozart’s Concerto No. 3 for violin will be performed by the concertmaster of the Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra, Naha Greenholz. It will be the first collaboration of this type between the MSO and a key musician in the QCSO. The Symphony will then present the work whose first four notes are probably the most well-known around the world for any piece of music – Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor.

  3. Puppets and Pastries: Dessert Theatre for Adults

    Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre presents its twenty-second annual Puppets and Pastries: Dessert Theatre For Adults (and teens), Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22 at 8:00 P.M. at Owl Glass Puppetry Center, 319 North Calhoun, West Liberty, Iowa. If you love puppets but would prefer to see them in the company of other adults, while listening to music and stories and savoring delectable desserts, this is your event! Eulenspiegel elves will transform the Center into a softly lit bistro for the weekend. The evening will feature a new memoir piece by Eulenspiegel's Monica Leo, "As Quickly as a Wink"; three vignettes about two rats and a cat living in a diner; music by jazz pianist Al Zimmerman; mesmerizing storyteller Susan Short Gilbert; and the music of Laura Hudson Kittrell. Add delicious desserts, beverages, and laughter for an unforgettable evening!
